Gardening enthusiasts gearing up for Knutsford flower show

Whilst crowds in the south of England flock to the RHS Chelsea flower show, and relish the prospect of a similar event at Hampton Court, enthusiasts in the north are looking forward to the opening of Cheshire’s own display as the RHS descends on Tatton Park in Knutsford.

Providing the weather remains favourable, the four day event, which starts on July 25th, promises to be both inspirational and entrancing to all. Both casual gardeners and more serious horticulturalists are expected to weave through the most compelling displays, which have been beautifully crafted amongst the historic splendour of the park’s grounds.

The show straddles the line between the practical and the ornamental with entrants passing on their wisdom and fervour regarding the joy of growing fruit and vegetables. Attendees will also get the chance to display the fruits of their labour in the numerous show gardens, marquees and nurseries.

Not forgetting the grandeur of Ladies Day on the 26th, there will be a range of entertainment to keep the party going. The event has grown bigger and better every year since it started as a sister show to the Hampton Court and Chelsea flower shows in 1998.

An afternoon partaking in this proud British tradition will be great fun for families, and will offer the perfect opportunity for them to add a unique element to their long summer weekend in the area.

Hotels on the Wirral and in other nearby areas are expected to be busy around the event so it’s advisable to get in quickly.
