Pageant of Power coming to Cholmondeley Castle

An epic festival celebrating all things motor-powered is set to disturb the usually peaceful Cholmondeley Castle later this month.

The Pageant of Power, which is in its sixth year, will see the romantic, colourful grounds taken over by a range of the world’s noisiest machines for just one weekend.

The event will involve everything motorsports related, including F1 cars, rally driving and supercars. There will also be a mixture of aerial and water displays and stunts. Organisers of the event are promising it will be bigger and better than all of its predecessors.

Those attending will get the chance to see the weird and wonderful, the rare and valuable and the new, sparkling and innovative, all side by side in stunning surroundings.

The event is known to appeal to families as well as individual petrol-heads, with many visiting to simply admire the Castle’s grounds and the impressive roars. The tracks and show spaces have been strategically placed to allow clear and exciting vantage points for car fans. There will also be a host of manufacturer stands and food stalls for those looking to relax a little.

The weekend will be rounded off with the fastest lap competition providing a fitting finale.

The Pageant runs from June 14th – 16th and despite the Castle’s rural surroundings, it offers good transport links to nearby towns and cities. Those looking to attend are encouraged to make arrangements promptly as hotels near Chester and the Wirral are already filling up.
